Archive & Provenance

This registry builds on years of dedicated community research. Before the original GTR-Registry.com went offline, a group of enthusiasts spent enormous time and expense documenting Nissan's production records. We preserve the history and credit that work here — and point to the surviving official copies — rather than re-hosting their compiled data.

The original research effort

GTR-Registry.com catalogued the production information of the Nissan Skyline, GT-R, Stagea and related models — working out build numbers, options, colours and other details, and publishing them as searchable databases and reference tables. Their findings are the foundation this project continues.

Aggregate findings preserved

The generation-level production totals and variant counts shown in the Production section above are factual figures drawn from that research and from Nissan records. We restate these facts to keep them accessible; the detailed per-VIN tables remain the work of the original authors.

Help us do this properly

If you were involved in the original registry, or hold records you'd like preserved and credited correctly, please get in touch — we'd rather rebuild this with the community's blessing than around it.
